Proceeds from the show itself benefit Praying Hands Ranch. Praying Hands Ranch is a local riding facility for handicapped individuals, located in Parker, Colorado. The facility offers horseback riding to handicapped individuals at little or not cost to help the children connect with an animal. The horseback riding generally aids the handicapped riders with their motor skills. The improvement made by those who are handicapped and who participate in this program is unbelievable. Just seeing the joy on the faces of the children and adults is heartwarming. On championship night at the Denver Queen City Horse Show, Praying Hands Ranch completes a 30 minute exhibition for their riders to show what they have learned and how well they handle the horses. There is usually not a dry eye in the house at the completion of their exhibition. This year the exhibition will be conducted on Saturday, July 12th at 6:00 pm.

Each year the horse show is able to make a substantial contribution to Praying Hands Ranch.

This year, the horse show will also be holding a "Pink Ribbon Class" on Saturday night. This class is held for the benefit of breast cancer and the proceeds from the sponsorship of this class as well as part of the proceeds from the horse show will go to the Susan G. Komen For The Cure fund. All exhibitors and patrons for the evening are asked to wear pink. During the pink ribbon class a sponsor can have a name read of an individual affected by breast cancer. The class will be held in honor of those person(s).
